The line changed the forecast
Detroit's final injury report ruled out Christian Mahogany and Blake Miller. Two missing offensive linemen on a short week are not decorative roster trivia. They affect the cleanest version of Detroit's plan, especially the interior efficiency behind Jahmyr Gibbs and the time Jared Goff gets to feed Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Atlas therefore moves Buffalo from 28-26 at 55% to 30-26 at 60%. The percentage is an explicitly uncalibrated judgment. It is a modest revision, not a coronation. Final inactive lists are still pending, so nobody has been promoted from listed to definitely active by the mystical power of optimism.
Weather leaves the offenses alone
The National Weather Service hourly forecast for Orchard Park displayed 69 degrees, a 3% precipitation chance and a north wind near 2 mph for 8 p.m. Those conditions do not support a weather penalty in the score projection.
This is still a forecast, not a blade-of-grass observation. The final action-lock scan will need a fresh official weather check and the actual inactive lists inside the permitted window. Until then, the correct label is updated, not finished.
Five outcomes survive, one gets trimmed
Gibbs stays at 75 or more rushing yards, projected at 94 with a 60% uncalibrated estimate. St. Brown stays at 65 or more receiving yards, projected at 78 with 60%. The line losses add risk, but both players still own enough role and volume to keep the thresholds supported.
James Cook stays at 60 or more rushing yards and a 75-yard projection, but his estimate falls from 60% to 55%. His Week 1 line was 13 carries for 57 yards, and Buffalo has too many efficient ways to move the ball to promise a large rushing share. DJ Moore remains 50 or more receiving yards at 55%. Sleeper Dalton Kincaid remains 35 or more at 55%. Their 100-yard and 130-yard openers support roles, not photocopiers.
The market is context, not a co-author
BetMGM's event page displayed Buffalo -5 with a 54.5 total, while DraftKings' operator-owned publisher page displayed Buffalo -4.5 and the same total. Those quotes are captured public displays. They were not authenticated and geolocation-verified as executable offers.
The market favors Buffalo more than the original house forecast did. That is worth recording. It does not supply our 60%, prove comparable historical movement, or create an edge without a verified price and a calibrated model. The Goblin keeps receipts because vibes have terrible handwriting.
What remains open
Buffalo lists Cole Bishop, Ty Johnson and T.J. Sanders questionable. Detroit lists D.J. Reed questionable. None of those labels is a final inactive list, and none of the five forecast players was officially ruled out at the observation time.
The action lock will wait for the final official inactive lists, a fresh venue-weather observation and a fresh operator display. If those sources support another revision, history will append again before kickoff. If they do not, Buffalo 30-26 and these five player outcomes remain the working forecast, visible enough for tomorrow to be rude to it honestly.
